Screening for Plagiarism Policy

Aksara Bumi: Jurnal Geologi dan Pertambangan is committed to maintaining academic integrity and preventing all forms of plagiarism in published articles.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a similarity check before proceeding to the peer-review stage. The screening process uses plagiarism or similarity detection software to identify similarities between submitted manuscripts and previously published works.

If an unusual level of similarity or an indication of plagiarism is detected, the editor will conduct further assessment. Depending on the nature and severity of the issue, the manuscript may be returned to the authors for clarification or revision, rejected, or handled in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original works and that all sources and references are properly acknowledged. The use of ideas, data, text, figures, or other materials from third parties without appropriate attribution is not permitted.

Plagiarism screening may be conducted before, during, or after the peer-review process when deemed necessary. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal may take appropriate action, including issuing a correction, withdrawing the article, or retracting the publication, depending on the severity of the violation.
