Peer Reviewer Process
Aksara Bumi: Jurnal Geologi dan Pertambangan applies a peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific validity of every published article. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their suitability for the journal's focus and scope, compliance with manuscript formatting requirements, and adherence to publication ethics standards.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area of the manuscript. The journal applies a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on several aspects, including scientific quality and contribution, research originality, methodological appropriateness, quality of analysis and discussion, clarity of data presentation, and the relevance of the article to the development of geology, mining, and Earth sciences.
Based on the reviewers' evaluations and editorial considerations, the editor may make one of the following decisions:
- Accepted without revision
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Rejected
Authors are given the opportunity to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers' comments and recommendations. Revised manuscripts may be evaluated again by the editor and/or relevant reviewers before a final publication decision is made.
The entire review process is conducted objectively, fairly, and in accordance with the principles of academic integrity to maintain the quality and credibility of articles published by Aksara Bumi: Jurnal Geologi dan Pertambangan.
